Your Questions Answered
Q: Can I get insured with HWA Diplomas?
A: Yes, all of HWA Diploma courses are approved for insurance with Balens and also some approved with IPTI. You may need to check with your own insurance first. Our Diploma courses enable you to practice professionally and gain membership and insurance
Q: I am a complete beginner to holistics/spiritual development, can I still attend a course?
A: Yes, all of HWA courses are for beginners to those more experienced. We all have to start somewhere!
Q: I’m new to Holistics, where can I get a good insurance policy?
A: We are pleased to be able to tell you about the brand new Insurance Scheme, which we have negotiated with Balens on your behalf.
The block policy covers all HWA students and represents fantastic value for money, as well as first rate policy cover.
We are very keen to see our students well provided for in all senses of the word. This policy is underwritten by Zurich Insurance and, as such, is a very secure place to put your trust when it comes to something as complicated as insurance.
HWA will be recommending this policy to all future students and want to offer all past students the same excellent arrangement.
Q: Do I need A&P to take one of HWA Massage Courses?
A: No, you do not need A&P to take any of HWA Diploma courses. Basic relative A&P will be covered on the day and also home study will be required after you have taken the course.
Q: Do I need a diploma in Full Body Massage to attend?
Q: You state that I will get a professional diploma after the training course, is this correct?
A: For some courses, Course Attendance Certificates are given to a student once the student has demonstrated that they have absorbed the information presented during the training day and after applying a satisfactory treatment which is observed by the tutor. To ensure that we act responsibly and carry out good practice, should the tutor feel that you would benefit from further training, certification may/will be held back and you will offered the opportunity/be asked to attend the next available course that has a space, which is offered free of charge. This is rare but we would not be acting responsibly as a professional training company if we sent out students, where the tutor felt they were unsafe in any way.
Practitioner Diplomas: One / two days to learn a therapy is a short time and therefore the standard must be high enough to enable them to issue you with a Practitioner/Diploma certificate. This will be given after the student presents back to a certain amount of satisfactory case studies, plus a satisfactory pass grade of an assessment paper.
Courses that do not require case studies: To ensure that we act responsibly and carry out good practice, should the tutor feel that you would benefit from further training, certification may/will be held back and you will offered the opportunity/be asked to attend the next available course that has a space, which is offered free of charge. This is rare but we would not be acting responsibly as a professional training company if we sent out students, where the tutor felt they were unsafe in any way.

Q: Can I learn a therapy / treatment in 1 or 2 days?
A: Because our classes are small, this enables the student to receive the full attention of the tutor. You will be taken through the theory and then the massage / treatment is great detail allowing for plenty of practice. Home practice is important to master the treatment. The more you practice the better you will become. (see below also)
Q: What if I feel I need more training?
A: Our commitment to you. After many years of teaching and training experience and hundreds of students, we are confident that our short one / two day courses are an adequate time to learn our therapies / treatments due to the small numbers of each class. However if we feel you need to come back to repeat the course, or you feel that you need extra training , then you can attend the next available course free of charge. (Up to 1 year after your original training date)
